Road Trip to Resilience

I remember being in the car with my children one day and we were going on one of our many adventures. We loaded up and I entered the directions into the Navigation System in the car. As we are driving I began to notice that the arrival time changed. At first I paid it no mind because I thought maybe there was an accident or some traffic up ahead that was now slowing down our commute. We continued to drive and I noticed the arrival to our destination time had changed again. What I had not realized at the time was that in the midst of listening to my teenage daughter catch me up on the latest "teen world tea" she turned the radio down which in turn lowered the volume of the voice guide. Somehow I managed to miss. my exit 3 times! The interesting thing about it was it never cut off or just left me stranded it just kept re-routing me.
This really resonated with me because it reminded me of how God will often "re-route"us but doesn't leave us when we mess up and miss our exits in life. On our journey we often times miss our exit when it comes to addictions, toxic relationships, the job that stresses us out or that situation that has had us in a nonstop circle of chaos. It is a beautiful thing to know that even when we miss our exit God can still keep us on course to reaching the destination of purpose that he has for our lives. Although the devil gets busy and tries to distract you from your journey I want to encourage you to stay the course no matter how long it takes because the world is waiting on your gift!
