Congratulations Mama!

Your body just did something incredible - and it is still adjusting, healing and shifting.  Getting dressed during the postpartum period isn't about "bouncing back" or being "snatched" while fitting old clothes.  It's about comfort, confidence, and functionality while honoring the new version of you.

Between the late-night feedings, diaper changes and unpredictable schedules, finding your style might feel like the last priority - but the right clothes can lift your mood and make everyday moments feel a little more like you again.

Your Postpartum Style Guide

~ Choose Comfort First.  Look for pieces that move with you and not against you.

~Prioritize Easy Nursing Access. If you are breastfeeding I would strongly suggest that you invest in nursing-friendly tops- think wrap styles, button downs or nursing tanks layered with cardigans or hoodies.

~Choose easy care clothes. Try to go for machine-washable, low maintenance items - you'll thank yourself during those newborn laundry marathons.

~Keep Footwear Easy and Supportive. Swollen feet? Tired Legs? Slip-on sneakers, cushioned sandals, or supportive flats will be your best friends-easy to put on and kind to your body.

~Don't Compare - Dress for YOUR body.  Ignore the bounce-back culture. Dress for how you feel, not for what social media says.  Your body just did something amazing - clothing should support and celebrate that.

As you sit staring at your closet and wondering what you are going to wear for that next event, take a moment to reflect and ask yourself:

What pieces of clothing make me feel the most like me? Why?

What pressure do I feel to "bounce back"?

If I could write a letter to my postpartum body, what would I say - without judgement?

Once you start answering these questions I would love to hear your responses!
